James Tobin, MD, combines traditional medical training and over 25 years of professional experience with a curiosity and passion for functional medicine to provide his patients with a well-rounded and holistic approach to their medical care. His work with the team at Stillpoint Wellbeing Center in Plaistow, Barrington, and Rye, New Hampshire has established him as an expert in the field of integrative pain management and treatment. He specializes in interventional pain management, acupuncture, and functional medicine for autoimmune conditions, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, autism, and other related illnesses.
Dr. Tobin graduated in 1983 from the prestigious Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He completed his internship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Following medical school, Dr. Tobin stayed at the National Military Medical Center to complete his residency in anesthesiology, as well as a fellowship in critical care. He is certified in critical care, pain medicine, and anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiologists. In addition to his well-rounded traditional education, Dr. Tobin is also certified in acupuncture by the Helms Medical Institute in Berkeley, California.
